Here’s what we know

Around 04.00 this morning, Tuesday, 24th. May, 2022, there was a shooting incident involving Barbados Police Service personnel near Eagle Hall, St. Michael. This resulted in the death of one man who occupied a motor vehicle.

Nation News reports that, “Three police officers also went off for medical attention, but none appeared to have been shot during the incident”.

The deceased was later identified by the Barbados Police Service as Nealson O’Neal Mason, 44, of Bank Hall Cross Road St. Michael. A family member verified his identity at Two Sons Funeral Home around 12.25.

Police cordoned off the area, leading to an unavoidable build traffic buildup. Traffic diversions were put in place.
