It was the best of the best on Saturday night at Ball Park Entertainment Centre. The best of the best of Barbadian soca artists graced the stage after the prelude of soca music Admiral Nelson style.

MC for the evening Jennifer Walker kept the crowd thoroughly entertained and in peels of laughter with her hilarious comedy pieces as she kept the audience in full laughter and high spirits throughout the evening that not even the rain could dampen,

The young artist Lil Stathis did an amazing performance opening the show with the song Ten Speed. Despite his age he showed an amazing knack to engage the audience along with his juks which had the audience roaring as he encouraged them to get up and get moving to the music. The youngster is a promise of the future of soca in Barbados to come.

Various artists such as The General Edwin Yearwood, The People’s Monarch Mr. Dale,  , Natalie, Biggie Irie, the Mighty Grynner, the 2022 Road March King Bruce Almighty, Lil Rick, ten-time calypso monarch Red Plastic Bag, Mac Fingall amongst others took to the stage performing their popular hits over the years whilst the newer artists performed their current hits keeping the audience on their feet as they danced and sang to each song often requesting the artists to sing another despite the rains.

There was no stopping the show. It was a night of sweet soca music at its best, good comedy and superb music from the DJ’s and the band.  It can be said Promoter Peter Boyce and team did and excellent job putting the show together despite challenges which occurred because persons left filled, happy and satisfied based on the smiles and happy laughter seen.

A damper to the evening was when Bigglie Irie announced it would be last time persons would see him on stage leaving many to wonder what the reason for his departure could be following the recent retirement announcement of Mac Fingall from the stage two weeks prior.
